mtvU, MTV's 24-hour college network, today confirmed new additions to the performance and presenter roster for the sixth-annual "mtvU Woodie Awards" the only awards honoring music voted best by college students, premiering on Friday, December 4 at 10pm ET on mtvU, MTV, MTV2 and Palladia.

Clipse will be joined by Rick Ross to perform "I'm Good (remix)," and Cam'ron will join forces with the hip-hop duo for a collaboration on "Popular Demand (Popeyes)." Additionally, Passion Pit will take a break from tour to deliver an electric performance of their single "The Reeling."

Previously announced performers include Death Cab For Cutie, Matt & Kim and The Dead Weather. Pete Wentz, Zooey Deschanel, 3OH!3, Amber Tamblyn, Asher Roth, Mary-Louise Parker, David Cross, Janelle Mone, and Pac Div will also be on hand to present the night's awards. In addition, DJ/producer Diplo of Major Lazer will spin the hottest beats to keep the party going all night. The "2009 mtvU Woodie Awards" will take place on November 18, 2009 at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City.

After over 3.1 million votes, the highest number of votes in Woodies history, KUPS from the University of Puget Sound captured the 2009 "Radio Woodie." On Friday, November 13, music personality Matt Pin[head] of 101.9 WRXP New York surprised the Tacoma, WA station by announcing that the crew earned a highly coveted chunk of wood honoring their commitment to championing artists before they achieve mainstream success.

The "Woodie" awards are a show by college students, for college students. For the first-time ever, mtvU put the "Woodies" graphics in the hands of its audience. Students created original works of art that will be featured throughout the show, acting as a canvas to announce the nominees for each category. Student artists making their "Woodies" debut this year include Janice Chae of Maryland Institute College of Art (Designed the "Woodie" of the Year Graphic), Liz Moser of Pratt (Designed Best Music On Campus Graphic), Michael Kennedy of Pratt (Designed "Good Woodie" Graphic), Kyle Hebert of Massachusetts College of Art & Design (Designed "Radio Woodie" Graphic), Kathleen Madamba of Drexel University (Designed the "Performing Woodie" Graphic), Julie Friedenberg of Pratt Institute (Designed the "Left Field Woodie" Graphic), Lisa Champ of Pratt Institute (Designed the "Best Video Woodie" Graphic) and Tommaso Dell'Anna of Pratt Institute (Designed the "Breaking Woodie" Graphic).

This year's performers will join an already incredible list of performers who have graced the Woodies stage in years past including Beck, Vampire Weekend, Santigold, Gym Class Heroes, Lykke Li, All Time Low and Imogen Heap. College students established the "mtvU Woodie Awards" in 2004, propelling some of their favorite acts to the next level of their careers including surging record sales, headlining tours and accolades at other award shows such as the MTV Video Music Awards. Since the first "mtvU Woodie Awards," artists such as Fall Out Boy (Streaming Woodie '04), the Killers (Breaking Woodie '04), Death Cab for Cutie (Best Video Woodie '05), Plain White Ts (Breaking Woodie '06), Gym Class Heroes (Woodie of the Year '07) and Paramore (Woodie of the Year '08), have enjoyed mainstream success after winning big at the Woodies.
