The Gin Blossoms Head up Love Hope Strength Music Lounge was a top story for this week. Here it is again: (PR) Love Hope Strength (LHS), an international foundation that harnesses the power of music to make a difference in global cancer care, today announced a partnership with the Denver Film Society for the "Love Hope Strength Music Lounge", a special music showcase taking place November 14-20th as part of the 32nd annual Starz Denver Film Festival. Filmmakers, festival attendees and the general public are invited to mix at the showcase, which will feature dozens of local musicians and a special Love Hope Strength benefit concert by The Gin Blossoms at the Hard Rock Café Denver on November 19th. The event, which is being sponsored by the Hard Rock Cafe, Swallow Hill, 97.3 KBCO, Westword, Starz Denver Film Festival, and KWGN Channel 2, The Deuce, will help benefit global cancer care.
Hosted by Sid Pink, the "Love Hope Strength Music Lounge" features favorite local artists The Swayback, Mike Marchant of the Widowers, Kal Cahoone, Vivienne Vavoom of Burlesque As It Was, B. Sous, Achille Lauro, Andrea Ball, Jim McTurnan of Cat-A-Tac, Churchill, Aaron Collins (formerly of Machine Gun Blues), Rachel Pollard, Le Divorce featuring members of EAOD, and Andy Monley and the High Horses. - more on this story
