Bon Jovi Fans Revolt- Pixies Do Dolittle- Switchfoot Instore- Who Should Replace Steven Tyler?- Radiohead Suggest Throttling Downloaders- Folk Go Punk and more was a top story for this week. Here it is again: (antiMusic) Someone forgot to tell Bon Jovi that there is a recession on and fans seem to be getting little bit pissed (again) at excessive ticket prices. We'll see how many vote with their wallets by keeping their two grand and staying home this go around (where they can eat their own TV dinner while watching Jovi videos). Read a bit about this latest backlash at Classic Rock If that wasn't enough, Tony K blogged a little bit about their ticket pre-sale scheme which he thinks is being used to "pad" the first week sales of the band's new album by selling a download of the album (at a higher price than the standard iTunes album) with the ticket package. Read that here.

At the Pixies' Hollywood Palladium show on Wednesday night, kicking off a 21-date U.S. tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their thorny masterwork Doolittle, the alt-rock icons performed the album start-to-finish more

Switchfoot will be at Sam Goody in San Diego for an in-store
event on Tuesday 11/10 starts at 7pm. There will be an acoustic performance
by the band and they will be signing their new cd Hello Hurricane, which will be released that day here

Spin.com had a little bit of fun with the news that Aerosmith may replace Steven Tyler by suggesting replacements. Some interesting picks but the Glee geeks are a non-starter as Steven never had to resort to using auto-tune. Check out their suggested replacements here.

Ed O'Brien of Radiohead suggests that bandwidth throttling (the practice of limiting the quantity of data a sever transmits and/or accepts within a specified period of time) may be a viable method to combat illegal downloading and filesharing. more

Protest the Hero have announced several Canadian holiday shows in which they will perform their 2008 album, Fortress, in its entirety more

We know...you still think of Pearl Jam as that uber-serious, non-party band. Certainly not the kind of jokesters who'd dress up like Devo, right? Wrong-o.

Ironbird Records have announced that they are releasing '2 on 1' resissues from Europe, Dangerous Toys, Britny Fox, Riot and Corrosion Of Conformity. Wow , that's five bands you normally wouldn't see mentioned together. Ok, the first three maybe. Grab the details here

Folk Go Punk! This isn't one of those Fearless Records comps where pop bands call themselves punk and cover other pop songs, Punknews.org reports that Coverlaydown has put together a collection of classic punk tracks covered by folk artists and in folk styles. more.

Steve Vai will reportedly be playing the American national anthem at Madison Square Garden at the New York Knicks game on November 29th. You'll have a chance to meet him afterwards. details

Revocation will team up with France's Hypno5e and The Binary Code for the "Metal As Art" tour. The month-long tour will kick off on January 6th in Brooklyn, NY more

Constants are set to record with Jesu and Godflesh member, Justin Broadrick. more

Cattle Decapitation is currently in search of a permanent bass player. more

Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats have tapped Matt Sorum (Velvet Revolver, Guns N' Roses) to take over drum duties from Chad Smith for their exclusive appearance at the Gakki Fair in Yokohama, Japan on November 7th. more
