(PR) Musician and filmmaker Jordan Galland will release his debut solo-album, Airbrush (Slush Puppy Music), this fall in conjunction with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead (Chimera Music), the original score written by longtime friend and collaborator Sean Lennon. Both Airbrush and Undead set the soundscape for the film of the same name, an indie-vampire comedy starring Jake Hoffman, Devon Aoki and Ralph Macchio (yes, the Karate Kid). In addition to the instrumental score, the film includes the song "They Always Come Back," from Galland's Airbrush. Movie trailer
Friends since childhood, Galland and Lennon have collaborated for years. Most notably, the pair co-wrote material for Lennon's 2006 release Friendly Fire (Capitol Records) and routinely worked together in Galland's band Dopo Yume, releasing four full-length albums in just under five years.
The duo has once again joined forces on Undead and plan to continue working together in the near future – Galland's sophomore album, Search Party, is tentatively slated for release on Lennon's imprint, Chimera Music.
