Tuniverse.tv is Here

10/29/2009
.
(PR) Opening its virtual doors, Tuniverse is a unique hybrid between an Internet video channel, online music store, artist promotional vehicle and record label of the future that caters to unique and talented independent artists of all music genres.

With a star studded roster already in place; Luna Halo, Monte Montgomery, Restless Heart, Austin-based power pop band Wideawake, emerging country trio Due West, Here Come The Mummies, Dave Robbins of BlackHawk, Michael Logen, Trenna Barnes and Billy Kilson, the company is rockin' into musical orbit.

Breaking ground with innovative software and a fresh business model, the Tuniverse website - Tuniverse.tv - is the first of its kind to feature a high definition video player enabling viewers to watch exclusive video content sans buffering combined with a virtual store to easily download music.

User friendly, the site highlights each Tuniverse artist and provides everything die-hard fans would want to know about their favorite artists- photos, tour details and behind-the-scenes videos. What sets Tuniverse apart from the traditional label model is that it forms a partnership with its artists, providing direction in all creative aspects.

"With the music industry's 'point of sale' migrating to the web it became apparent to me that at least part of the music industry's 'point of discovery' should also migrate to the web," says Tuniverse founder/creator Billy Austin. "There's still that kid inside of me that falls in love with a new artist and I want to tell everyone about how great they are and be one of the first to 'just know they are going to be huge.' It's a passion of mine to get behind artists that I know people will hear and ask 'why aren't these guys famous?' As Tuniverse expands, we plan to grow to be a brand that will be a trusted and valued source of great music regardless of genre."
