The Root of All Evil contains a selection of completely re-recorded tracks from the band's first three albums Black Earth (1996), Stigmata (1998) and Burning Bridges (1999), reenergized and upgraded by the band's definitive line-up. The new record will be available in the US on October 6th, via Century Media Records.

Furthermore, the band has confirmed a European headlining run with Destruction, Abigail Williams & Triosphere, which will kick off in December.

Arch Enemy vocalist Angela Gossow checks in to comment about the band's recent touring activities, as well as the European run coming up in December:

"We had a great time playing the European summer festivals and then going to Mexico for three sold out, insanely raging shows! We are currently preparing for our Moscow gig, Belgium's Mass Deathtruction festival, Japan's Loudpark, all Asia dates, Australia, New Zealand and then Europe! Yes, the Tyrant will return to its Root Of Evil once again. Raising hell in the month of Christmas kitsch – loving it!

We will bring some young talent with us - Abigail Williams and Triosphere (make sure not to miss them!) and also one of the true German Thrash Metal legends we have been worshipping when we were 'young talents' ourselves: DESTRUCTION! Holy shhhhhh...

I remember staring at their bullet-belt covered outfits and listening to 'Mad Butcher' and then actually having to go back (!) into their discography and picking up 'Sentence Of Death', 'Infernal Overkill' and 'Eternal Devastation'. This seems like…yesterday! And today we are bringing them out as special guest for some selected dates and hopefully for even more shows in the near future!
