Singled Out: Murder By Death
. I wrote "Foxglove" while I was out solo camping in the Smokey Mountains. Two weeks by yourself gets pretty lonely, and I found myself dreaming of women often. The song is my first love song for MBD, and I liked the idea of a lusty ghost woman visiting a lonely traveler in the middle of the night. At first, the lyrics are mostly about lust, and in time it becomes apparent that the traveler is actually lusting for his wife/lover. It's all about the combination of a light/pretty sound with the occasional creepy lyric. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album - right here! Preview and Purchase Murder By Death CDs |
