Hey Monday Will Be Beneath It All This Summer
Spending time in both New York City and Los Angeles, Pope collaborated with a diverse range of songwriters, including Rolling Stone's Hot List 'Producers of the Year' Sam Hollander and Dave Katz (Boys Like Girls, Cobra Starship), Eric Bazilian and Rob Hyman of The Hooters (Bazilian penned "One of Us" by Joan Osbourne), Matt Scannell (Vertical Horizon"), and Butch Walker (Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry). The album was produced by S*A*M and Sluggo (Hollander and Katz) at Fresh Kills in New York City.
Hey Monday launched the setup for their new album this past month as they kicked off the 6-week Alternative Press tour with an appearance at SXSW. The band also graced the cover of Alternative Press magazine's April issue which includes a 5-page interview covering Hey Monday's achievements and challenges over the past 2 years.
Additionally, this spring, Hey Monday will be the featured sweepstakes prize in Samsung's "March to a Million" cell phone recycle initiative. Reaching an estimated seven million middle and high school students in approximately 9,500 schools across the U.S., the eco-focused program will educate teens about the importance and ease of mobile phone recycling. Each participating school has the opportunity to enter a sweepstakes to win a VIP concert from Hey Monday.
Hey Monday will also be connecting with high school students in a big way this spring when they perform at this year's Disney Grad Nite, an exclusive annual event for high school seniors held at the Magic Kingdom over two consecutive weekends. The band will be performing on Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1 alongside band mates Boys Like Girls.
