(Gibson) In an interview with Rolling Stone, Iggy Pop revealed that he and Iggy & The Stooges guitarist James Williamson are working on their first new tracks in more than three decades. So, can we expect a new Stooges album in the coming year?

While "the riffs are really good," he says, nothing is certain. "I'm keen to respect the integrity of the group and what it stands for, so I don't want to do a new album lightly," Pop said. "Whatever songs we do, I want them to be better."

Pop and Williamson worked together on 1973's landmark Raw Power, but continued their collaboration after the band broke up. The pair released Kill City as a duo, and the 1977 album is being re-released on October 19. - more on this story
