Stone Temple Pilot's Scott Weiland Falls Off Stage, But His Singing Continues
. Antiquiet posted a story and video of the fall and commented that Weiland's vocals continued while Scott was down, thus raising a suspicion that he might be lip synching, but they also noted that it does not necessarily prove that he was. STP's management told us after our original report, which carried quotes from the Antiquiet report, that Weiland was not lip synching. Rock Radio reported that Weiland was not singing at the moment of the fall but was heard while he was off the stage, leading others to speculate that he simply continued singing while he was down like hennemusic who reported, "Weiland didn't miss a beat or a line, continuing to sing while in the pit." So this really boils down to opinions and not irrefutable proof as Antiquiet themselves were careful to point out. 2nd update: We have been informed of a new report from The Noble Visions blog, who were at the show and wrote a review that includes a photo of Weiland still singing while he was off the stage. You can read that report and see the photos here We removed this report from the Day in Rock since proof surfaced after the original report was published which does show that Scott Weiland was in fact still singing while he was off the stage and to keep the report up in the Day in Rock would have helped continued the lip sync storyline even with new proof which counters it. We have not removed the updated report entirely since it does offer both sides of the story. Preview and Purchase Stone Temple Pilot CDs Stone Temple Pilot MP3 Downloads |
