Eric Clapton To Auction His Guitars For Crossroads Rehab

(Gibson) Eric Clapton will raise money for his Crossroads rehab clinic by selling off some of his guitars.

BBC News reports that Clapton will sell more than 150 pieces at an auction in London and will feature a collection of amps and speakers including Marshall speaker cabinets he used while playing with Derek and the Dominos � which are expected to bring in more than $7,000.

There also will be guitars donated by Jeff Beck and Joe Bonamassa for sale. Stephanie Connell, at Bonhams, said, "We are delighted to be offering such a fantastic collection of guitars and amps from such an iconic musician and hope the auction will raise a lot of money for this worthwhile cause." more on this story
