The evening kicked off with "Beautiful Day," which featured Bono singing a snippet of "In My Life."

"I remember watching John Lennon sing that song for his son Julian," recalled Bono after the band had slipped in a few bars of "Stand By Me" at the end of "Still Haven't Found."
