KISS Hit With Copyright Violation Claim (Top Story)

KISS Hit With Copyright Violation Claim was a top story in November. Here it is again as we recap 2010: (Rock Radio) The official YouTube video channel of American glam legends KISS has been closed for breaching copyright laws just weeks after bassist Gene Simmons controversially called for all rights breakers to be sued and jailed.

Visitors to the band's OfficialKISSonline channel were advised in a YouTube error message: "This channel has been terminated due to multiple or severe violations of our community guidelines, and/or claims of copyright infringement."

Some Kiss videos embedded on the band website's front page were replaced with the message: "This video is no longer available because the associated YouTube account has been terminated." At least one replacement message stated S'more Entertainment had lodged a breach of rights claim against Kiss. -
