O.M.T.'s Delayed Album Gets Released

02/08/2010
.
New kids on the metal block and rising stars of the UK rock scene O.M.T. (Our Malevolent Tyranny) have confirmed that their debut album 'Anamantium' is now available worldwide through the Rising Records label.

The album was originally scheduled for a European release in late 2009, but was delayed due to the collapse of distributors SPV. A new distribution agreement for the world (excluding Japan) with Plastic Head Distribution (PHD) has enabled the CD to become available in all major territories around the globe.

'Anamantium' was recorded, mixed and mastered by Mark Daghorn (Cradle Of Filth, Marillion) at New Rising Recording Studios in the UK.

'Anamantium' is an exceptional debut - eleven tracks of crunching hardcore melodic metal, leading one reviewer to declare that O.M.T. have "got something for the new, modern audience whilst still having enough substance and rawness to keep us crusty fuckers happy!" The debut sees O.M.T. ready to claim their own unique niche in the metal world having created a sound that is distinctively their own, packed full of searing guitar riffs and harmonies, devastating rhythm and gut wrenching vocals.

The full track listing for 'Anamantium' is:
1. That New Reality
2. Peel Your Skin Away
3. Shattered Dreams And Promises
4. Break Shake
5. Blue Eyed Love
6. Heroes Among The Dead
7. Carpe Diem
8. The Ballad Of Thomas Brookman
9. Cheats And Liars
10. Windows To Your Soul
11. Near Death

O.M.T. originally came together in 2007 with one aim - to spread the metal!! After several changes and a few altercations the band settled on the current line up of Stewart Ferguson (Vocals), Joff Bailey (Lead Guitar), Preston Timmins (Rhythm Guitar), David Steele (Bass Guitar), Mike Steele (Drums). The UK South Coast metallers quickly built a frenzied local following which continues to grow and spread around the world. An unlikely recent UK tour with flamenco rockers Breed 77 was an unqualified success, winning the band many new fans.
