October Sky To Compete At The GBOB World Finals
. "We've been counting down the days ever since we won the Canadian finals back in September 2009 in Quebec City. It's been a really exciting time for us as we're recording in the studio our sophomore release and get to share our music with a completely new fan base." says vocalist / guitarist Karl Raymond. Releasing their debut album Hell Isn't My Home in 2008, the Canadian band has been garnering high praise and a strong following. The band has toured successfully across Canada from their hometown in Montreal, QC to the west coast of Vancouver, BC. The GBOB final is added to a long list of triumphant accomplishments from award wins and nominations to sharing the stage with established acts such as Mobile, Alexisonfire and Bad Religion. About: GBOB International was formed to launch the GBOB Challenge, a global live music competition for unmanufactured bands playing their own, original music. From 16 countries in 2004 to 26 countries in 2008, the GBOB Challenge has grown year on year and to date has involved more than 40,000 musicians. In just five years it has become the world's biggest and most respected live music competition.
GBOB has very quickly gained a reputation for helping to break new bands and we intend to carry on doing so. Preview and Purchase October Sky CDs |
