The Temper Trap Announce North American Tour

01/25/2010
.
After a massively successful run of North American dates last fall, The Temper Trap will return to the U.S. for their first headlining tour in support of their critically acclaimed debut album, Conditions, out now on Glassnote/Columbia.

The London-based band, showered with praise across the States throughout the last year, will play dates from coast to coast in March and April.

2009 was an incredible year for the band, as the single "Sweet Disposition" became ubiquitous through usages in the sleeper hit film 500 Days of Summer, a multimedia platform Rhapsody advertising promotion, scoring numerous national TV shows, and was most recently featured in a Chrysler branding campaign. The song is now exploding at radio stations such as KROQ and KCRW, and is the biggest mover on the modern rock chart over the last 2 weeks.

The band graced the cover of CMJ while setting New York City ablaze during their live sets at last year's CMJ Music Marathon, garnering widespread praise with the New York Times saying that the band has the "…martial drive of U2, vocals heading for falsetto and instrumental buildups that were clearly aiming for arenas" and the New York Post calling them a band "on the cusp of fame." The band also performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, giving America a taste of just how electrifying they are on stage.

With their soaring melodies, hard-hitting percussion and the breathtaking falsetto of lead singer Dougy Mandagi, The Temper Trap are a powerful force live, bringing a vibrant energy to each and every one of their shows.

Be sure to catch The Temper Trap on the road this spring as they bring their undeniably irresistible sound to cities across North America!
