The Dewey Beach Music Conference Announced
. As a smaller conference, every detail counts and it is evident in the caliber of talent that has consistently showcased at DBMC in the past five years. "Many of the artists we've selected have gone onto become internationally recognized performers so the level of talent speaks for itself," said Vikki Walls, co-founder and director of the conference. With a little research, those words ring true as there is a long list of high caliber performers that have graced the DBMC stage, most notably Melody Gardot, Halestorm, Eli "Paperboy" Reed, Parachute, and Zach Myers from Shinedown, to name a few. Equally as impressive is the long list of industry elite who have recently served as panelists and speakers. From Matt Pinfield (Columbia Records, Sirius Radio) and Joe Cuelo (VP of Music Supervision, MTV) to Shelly Yakus (Engineer, Tom Petty, John Lennon) and Paul Reed Smith (Artist and Founder of PRS Guitars), every corner of the music business is covered at DBMC. This environment, in turn, provides industry professionals an excellent discovery ground for new artists. "We pride ourselves on being the most 'musician friendly' conference out there," said Walls. "This is the only event that offers free badges to all showcasing bands and all bands that submit for consideration. Our focus is on the musician and offering up-and-comers a great environment to learn and get their names out." Registration for DBMC includes full access to panels, mentoring sessions, clinics, demo listening sessions, the trade show exhibit, a conference directory, a compilation CD and goodie bag, and four separate VIP parties where up-and-coming artists and industry experts co-mingle over free food and drink at one of several different outdoor beach clubs. All showcases are free to the public. Preview and Purchase Dewey Beach CDs |
