John Mayer Webcast Today

. John Mayer has announced an online event that take place this afternoon. Here is announcement: John Mayer will host an exclusive live webcast from his Battle Studies Summer Tour stop at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY today, (July 21st) beginning at 4:00pm EDT at johnmayer.com.

The behind-the-scenes view will give fans worldwide the opportunity to get a glimpse backstage at one of this summer's hottest tours, hosted by the artist himself. The glimpses backstage will be followed by a LIVE performance from Mayer's soundcheck.

Mayer offered fans a live video stream of the first song from his Raleigh, NC show on July 17; with just an hour's notice, 67,000 fans were tuned in. The following night in Virginia Beach, VA, Mayer's management sent out a Tweet about filming part of that night's show for fans to enjoy, and within just 10 minutes, 9,000 viewers were watching live.

Since kicking off in February, the Battle Studies Summer Tour has repeatedly ranked among the Top Five on Billboard Magazine's weekly Hot Tour list. This summer, Mayer has earned his tenth Top 5 track with "Half of My Heart," which is shaping up to become one of his biggest radio hits to date.
