In the spring of 1965, Sinatra huddled with his arranger and friend, Gordon Jenkins, to record September of My Years, a collection of 13 songs from an iconic balladeer taking stock in a life well lived and recommitting himself to making the best of the years ahead. It was an album that spawned such classics as "This Is All I Ask," "Once Upon a Time" and of course, "It Was a Very Good Year."
