Rolling Stone spoke with Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry about his recent motorcycle accident. Perry tells RS: "This woman behind me just didn't slow down at the light. She was going 25-30 miles per hour and just rear-ended me. Everything on the bike from the engine back is smashed up, but I don't even have a black and blue mark. I can't believe it. I'm just really lucky." As for his injuries, "I definitely felt banged up," he says. "I had whiplash and my lower back was throbbing. I've been in enough accidents to know that you don't know how banged up you are for a while." more

German edition of Metal Hammer sent this over: John Garcia (Kyuss) stopped in Berlin to play Kyuss-songs and was interviewed about the tour, the old days and a possible reunion with guitarist Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age) - which John Garcia nixed. Drummer Tom Schofield of Chicago heavy rockers Soil has informed Blabbermouth.Net that singer/guitarist A.J. Cavalier is on an "indefinite hiatus" from the band but has not officially quit the group.
