Private funeral services for Slipknot's Paul Gray were held on Friday (May 28) in Des Moines, Iowa. Slipknot has posted a 10-minute tribute video to the band's late bassist, featuring previously unseen footage. Check it out here

Dennis Hopper, who brought the counterculture to Hollywood with "Easy Rider" and led a career marked by successes, failures and comebacks, has died at age 74. Hopper had been diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2009. more

Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh has filed for a restraining order against an elderly man who allegedly threatened to kill him. Jam! reports that Walsh has asked a judge to ban his neighbor from coming near him after the man allegedly trespassed on his property in May and attacked his personal assistant with a block of wood. more

Porcupine Tree has announced the cancellation of their appearance from the Ruisrock Festival in Turku, Finland. Porcupine Tree is currently making efforts to reschedule all Finnish dates. All other European dates are not affected. The band stated the reason being for this decision was 'due to circumstances beyond its control.' more
