Rage Against the Machine halted their set at Britain's Download Festival on Saturday when a crowd surge left several fans injured. Jam! reports that the festival audience became restless when the band's set started 20 minutes late, and, by their third song, it was clear that some members of the crowd were getting crushed in the chaos. more

Dillinger Escape Plan are looking after their own affairs after tour manager Talmadge Cook suffered a heart attack. Rock Radio reports, Cook was removed from a flight from Copenhagen to the UK Saturday night with blood pressure in the danger zone, meaning guitarist and sole surviving founding member Ben Weinman has had to fill the role. more

Operation MD have announced plans to release a new album. The group is the side project from Sum 41 bassist Jason "Cone" McCaslin and H2O's Todd Morse. According to a Chart Attack report, the album " is more of a garage record, borrowing heavily from acts like The Hives and Violent Femmes. " more
