Colt Ford Spoofs Twilight: Eclipse
. The release of the vampire-themed video corresponds with the premiere of the film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third installment in Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series. A huge fan of the films, Colt thought his video would be the perfect medium to showcase a spoof of the well-loved series. He says, "Twilight is such a great love story, and 'Chicken and Biscuits' is a love song about my wife and all country girls. I think the concept of this video is really funny. I hope everyone likes it as much as I do." Parodies have playfully teased The Twilight Saga since its rise to cultural-phenomenon status. The cast of Jersey Shore provided their own spoof of the films, The Jersey Shore Saga: Friggin' Twilight, when Jimmy Kimmel Live! hosted The Twilight Saga: Total Eclipse of the Heart special on ABC, and a skit featuring Taylor Swift recently poked fun of the series on Saturday Night Live. Though his video is not the first parody of Twilight, Colt puts his own fun-loving spin on the vampire romance. Appealing to country fans as well as legions of Twihards, Colt adds a touch of twang to the soundtrack of Bella and Edward's tragic love story with "Chicken and Biscuits." The video, directed by Jason "Potsy" Ponciroli and produced by Ryan Zacarias, was shot in Nolensville, Tennessee and features Bella, Jacob, and the entire Cullen clan. Colt stars as the brooding vampire Edward, only this time his craving for blood is replaced with an insatiable hunger for Bella's southern fried chicken and biscuits.
