Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today James Crippa from The Astonishment tells us about "African Lion Heart" from their spoken word album "Banana Sandwich". We now turn it over to James for the story:

"African Lion Heart" is a song that depicts man as the king of animals in a competitive world represented in the poem as the Olympics, which demands him best performance and understanding of his fellow competitor but also acknowledges that he requires down time and preparation that he achieves from his mate the lioness.

Therefore in our competitive world only the fit survive achieved by maximum effort and personally achieved by our family unit, hence a world connected and an individual family unit that replenishes the individual in society where we are all participant as well as the king of the animals.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album - right here!
