Thomas Erak (guitar, vocals) has issued the following: "After nearly 9 years, 5 full-lengths, 2 bass players, hundreds of shows, and numerous other achievements and follies, Andrew, Frank, and I have decided to end our career as The Fall of Troy." more

A quadriplegic AC/DC fan suffered serious facial injuries when a mate accidentally hit the joystick of his motorised wheelchair and catapulted him into the mosh pit during a concert on Saturday night. Witnesses said a metal pin used by the 31-year-old Morningside man to manoeuvre objects became a spear and imbedded in his eye as his chair crashed more than a metre to the centre's floor. more

Peter Gabriel's Genesis bandmates are giving him the benefit of the doubt for bowing out of next month's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. On May 22nd, East Of The Wall will be independently releasing the demos for what would have been The Postman Syndrome's second album. The band - of which four out of five members went on to East Of The Wall - released their debut LP Terraforming, on Now Or Never Records in 2002. A second album was planned but never recorded due to the label shutting down in 2004. more
