Here it is again: Ex-Pantera lead singer Phil Anselmo has signed a contract with MetalSucks.net writer and acclaimed true crime author Corey Mitchell to help pen his autobiography. Says Mitchell, "Rest assured, MS Maniacs will be privy to many exclusives as I help Phil tackle his incredible story. I will do my best to take you behind the scenes of the making of the book, post advance chapters before the book hits the stores, and post deleted material that won't make the final cut but will be worth reading nonetheless." more

The Fall Of Troy has officially called it quits. Thomas Erak (guitar, vocals) has issued the following: "After nearly 9 years, 5 full-lengths, 2 bass players, hundreds of shows, and numerous other achievements and follies, Andrew, Frank, and I have decided to end our career as The Fall of Troy." more

Axl Rose has issued the following message: "There are NO new Guns N' Roses shows added to our current onsale itinerary dated as of February 25th. This means NO SHOWS in Panama, Costa Rica or Guatemala regardless of ANYONE's claims or ticket sales. These dates or ANY additional dates anywhere other than those already previously announced and on sale before February 25th will Not Be Honored." more
A quadriplegic AC/DC fan suffered serious facial injuries when a mate accidentally hit the joystick of his motorised wheelchair and catapulted him into the mosh pit during a concert on Saturday night. Witnesses said a metal pin used by the 31-year-old Morningside man to manoeuvre objects became a spear and imbedded in his eye as his chair crashed more than a metre to the centre's floor. more

According to Billboard the effort will include Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love" with Thomas, the Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with India.Arie and Yo-Yo Ma, Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing" with Joe Cocker, the Rolling Stones' "Can't You Hear Me Knocking " with Scott Weiland, Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water" and Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son." more

Peter Gabriel's Genesis bandmates are giving him the benefit of the doubt for bowing out of next month's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Gabriel will not attend the March 15 affair because it conflicts with orchestra rehearsal dates for his upcoming European and North American concerts more

On May 22nd, East Of The Wall will be independently releasing the demos for what would have been The Postman Syndrome's second album. The band - of which four out of five members went on to East Of The Wall - released their debut LP Terraforming, on Now Or Never Records in 2002. A second album was planned but never recorded due to the label shutting down in 2004. more
