Colt Ford Returns with Chicken And Biscuits was a top story for this week. Here it is again: Average Joes Entertainment announced plans today to release a sophomore album on flagship artist Colt Ford on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. The studio album, Chicken And Biscuits produced by Jayson Chance and Shannon "Fatshan" Houchins, is the follow-up to Ford's debut album, Ride Through The CountryFord's 2008 release that successfully catapulted the country star to mainstream status after selling 150,000+ albums and over 450,000 paid song downloads. Country afforded Ford notoriety among artists like Randy Houser, Joe Nichols, Josh Gracin, Darryl Worley, Ty Stone, James Otto, DMC, Kevin Fowler, and more who appear on his sophomore effort. "I never thought I could make a record like Chicken And Biscuits. I pushed myself so hard in writing and finding the songs for the record, and I was blessed to write with some of the greatest songwriters in the world. To be able to make a second album that I feel is better than the first and still maintain who I am as an artist...wow! That was my goal and I hope the fans agree because I gave it all I have," says Ford. Ford, who is often mistakenly described as a 'country rapper,' has garnered national attention for his unique vocal delivery and fast-paced lyrical style. The self-proclaimed sexiest 300 lb. man in country music requested his friends lend vocals to many of the tracks that appear on the album as Ford admits, "I can't sing all that well, but I sure can have fun on stage, and performing over 200 shows last year taught me that fans are hungry for something different." - more on this story
