The Rolling Stones and Don Was To Be Exiled on Sirius Tomorrow
. The interview coincides with the re-release of the Rolling Stones' legendary 1972 album Exile on Main Street on May 18, 2010. During the interview, Don Was, who has produced many Rolling Stones studio albums, including Voodoo Lounge and 2005's critically-acclaimed A Bigger Bang, as well as the live albums Stripped and Live Licks, will talk with Jagger, Richards and Watts about the process of putting together the re-release of Exile on Main Street. The band gave Was access to the master tapes from the historic sessions, and he will share with SIRIUS XM listeners how they uncovered previously unreleased recordings, ten of which are featured in the Exile on Main Street re-release. "It's extremely rare to get Mick, Keith and Charlie to sit for a radio interview together," said Don Was. "I'm really touched that they chose SIRIUS XM as the place to discuss the re-release and the new tracks in depth. It's gonna be a great hour!" "The Rolling Stones' Exile on Main Street is recognized not only as one of the greatest albums in rock and roll history, but now as a timeless piece of art," said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SIRIUS XM Radio. "SIRIUS XM is honored to have Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts share their behind-the-scenes stories about the making of the album with our listeners." The in-depth interview will air on several of SIRIUS XM's commercial-free music channels, including Underground Garage, SIRIUS channel 25 and XM channel 59, on Saturday, May 15 at 8:00 pm ET; Outlaw Country, SIRIUS channel 63 and XM channel 12, on Saturday, May 15 at 10:00 pm ET; and Deep Tracks, SIRIUS channel 16 and XM channel 40, on Monday, May 17 at 6:00 pm ET.
