Sophie B. Hawkins To Perform At Child Abuse Gala

Sophie B. Hawkins will perform in New York City on November 18th at the annual gala for the New York Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children - the oldest child protective agency in the country.

Sophie a mother, an activist and an artist, is passionate about raising awareness on the realities of child abuse and neglect. She has let her own troubled past come to light through her music and in the documentary The Cream Will Rise.

She is currently working on her newest album, Dream Street and Chance, an emancipation from her difficult childhood. In addition, Sophie has other exciting projects in the works including a collaboration with Tony award-winning actress Kristen Chenoweth on a new Broadway musical.
