(Miller Canfield) The song "Take a Dive," which is the subject of Texas songwriter, Bryan Pringle's, recently filed copyright infringement lawsuit against the Black Eyed Peas over their hit single, "I Gotta Feeling," was released today on YouTube.

According to the Complaint, "Take a Dive" was never published by Pringle, but was submitted to Defendants in the case, UMG Recordings, Interscope Records and EMI regularly from 1999 to 2006, in hopes that they would either sign Pringle as an artist to their labels or sell the song to another artist.

"If you listen to the two songs they are nearly identical," said Pringle's lawyer, Dean Dickie of Miller Canfield. Pringle's co-counsel, Ira Gould of Gould Law Group, added, "If you superimpose the Black Eyed Peas' lyrics to 'I Gotta Feeling' over Pringle's song, 'Take a Dive,' it is indistinguishable from 'I Gotta Feeling.'
