Evanescence Get Risky was a top 10 story this week . Here is the recap: (Gibson) It's been four years since Evanescence released their last album (2006's The Open Door) and fans can expect to hear some different sounds on the band's new release, set for later this fall. Drummer Will Hunt told Radio Metal that frontwoman Amy Lee is taking "real big risks Honestly, I think it's amazing."

Lee and Co. are working with famed producer Steve Lillywhite (U2, Rolling Stones) on the as-yet untitled album. Hunt said that Lee, Lillywhite and the band played around with electronic touches during the sessions. "There are new colors in the pattern," he said. "There's a lot of cool new things going on, both electronically and futuristically. I think she's doing something that's very special and hasn't been done before. I'm a supporter. I think it's killer."

But die-hard Evanescence fans shouldn't worry about the band sounding too different on this release. "It's always going to sound like Evanescence, 'cause it's Amy Lee singing, but the vehicle for that voice can be different and still be Evanescence," Hunt said. -
