Innocent Words Magazine and the publication's founder Troy Michael are hosting a DVD Drive for the pediatric and adult transplant patients at Riley Hospital for Children and Indiana University Hospital. Michael has a special understanding and empathy for those facing certain life events. His connection to the pediatric and adult organ transplant departments at Riley Hospital for Children and Indiana University Hospital runs deep. As a child, Troy needed a kidney transplant and the hospitals were there for him. Although young, he vowed to give back to the hospital which saved his life.
In January a new addition to Riley Hospital will open with large private patient rooms. Organ Transplant will have its own unit in this new building. The DVDs will be very helpful in growing the video collection.
Here's whatis needed:
DVD movies, documentries, music videos, etc. for kids and/or adults. Please no sexual content or graphic material. The movies should be in their cases. Gently used DVDs are fine. Newly released movies are a bonus.
Please look in your entertainment collection, look in the sale bins at your local stores and consider donating your DVDs to this worthwhile project.
The DVD Drive will be ongoing through December 15, 2010.
