The Day in Rock Digest for 11/11/10: Nicci DeSoto, lead vocalist of the thrash/metalcore act Falling To Pieces, was killed early Saturday morning (November 6) in a motorcycle accident. She was only 25 years old. Falling To Pieces features in its ranks Scott Danough, co-founder and longtime guitarist for Orange County, California's Bleeding Through. The quintet independently released an EP in 2009 entitled "Awaken The Weak". more

Slash says that Velvet Revolver are back up and running following former singer Scott Weiland's (Stone Temple Pilots) walk-out. He said: "We've got about three more frontmen to audition. We'll get it sorted in the next month or so. It's pretty exciting." more
