I Declare War Declare Their New Frontman
. Hanks had been filling in on lead vocals for the band since July. The band quickly realized how perfectly Jamie fit with I Declare War and extended him the invitation to become the official vocalist this fall. Prior to joining I Declare War, Jamie Hanks spent five years as the vocalist of death metal band Those Who Lie Beneath. During those years, the two bands crossed paths, playing shows together and quickly becoming friends. "It's great being with the I Declare War guys," Hanks said. "I get to really belt out with this new project." "We are very fortunate and extremely lucky to have Jamie join the band. He's an absolute perfect fit for us, both on and off stage. The past couple of tours with him have been nothing but fun," agrees guitarist Evan Hughes. "He's got an unbelievable voice, great stage presence, and he really cares about what he does. We have been longtime friends and fans of Those Who Lie Beneath, so we're excited to have Jamie involved in I Declare War." I Declare War will be re-recording a track off of Malevolence, their Artery Recordings debut album, to feature the vocals of Jamie. "Putrification of the Population" will be available for streaming by early next year on the band's official MySpace. Preview and Purchase I Declare War CDs |
