Foo Fighters To Headline Music Festival

.
(Gibson) The Foo Fighters will headline night two of 2011's Isle of Wight festival, following on the heels of another American band, first night bill-toppers Kings of Leon. The third headliner of the British music event will be announced today.

Dave Grohl and his Foo Fighters have a busy year planned for 2011 with lots of touring. So far, they've announced three dates, all in Britain July 2 and 3 at Milton Keynes Bowl and June 11 at Isle of Wight. The band are also working on a new album, which (last we heard) was going to be more "silly" and "heavy" than recent albums.

In a statement, Isle of Wight promoter John Giddings said, "What band is more fitting to bring back for our 10th birthday than the Foos? They gave it their all in 2006 and have only become bigger and better since." -
