Liam Gallagher Supports Saving Music Landmark

11/18/2010
.
(Gibson) Liam Gallagher is backing the campaign to save London's legendary 100 Club from closing its doors. NME.com reports that Gallagher posted a note on the Savethe100club.co.uk website saying that the club is "very rock 'n' roll" and it "sorts the men out from the boys." He also said he "fancied playing there again with the mighty Beady Eye."

Plenty of other musicians have backed the campaign as well, including Mick Jagger, Paul Weller, Carl Barat and Mick Jones. The Buzzcocks' Steve Diggle is quoted on the Savethe100club.co.uk site saying, "The 100 Club is as important as St. Paul's Cathedral!"

A fundraising concert will be held at the club, which is facing huge rent payments, on November 25. -
