Singled Out: As They Sleep
. "Oracle of the Dead" brings forth some of the mythological side of the new record. It observes the concept of using oracles to communicate with the dead... Hades (the Greek God of the underworld) was often associated with these "ceremonies" if you will. We figured we could touch on Heaven and Hell along with all of the other Empires/Gods mentioned in the album. So, we decided to start it off with the Hellish side of things on the opening track. Thus, "Oracle of the Dead" was born. Don't get it twisted though... We aren't condoning any such beliefs or behavior, just explaining the role and often "hold" that these dark endeavors can have on people's lives. As I said be before, I don't believe in using Ouija boards and what have you, but different strokes for different folks I guess. We're just here to write metal and deliver a message that's not drenched in filth. "Oracle of the Dead" is relentless... And that's what we were going for. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album - right here! Preview and Purchase As They Sleep CDs |
