Cornershop Release New Song Featuring Bubbley Kaur
. Released on the band's own label, Ample Play, Cornershop & the Double 'O' Groove Of is a project that's been in the works since Kaur guested on the band's now-classic 2004 single "Topknot," which got a killer remix treatment with a guest vocal by M.I.A. Writer & producer Tjinder Singh has commented on the new longplayer, "The full-length album was started on as early as 2005, and rather than rushing it, I thought I needed to take the time to put it out properly. It's the type of album I've wanted to have out since my youth and enthusiasm for raw Punjabi folk music - no auto-tune in sight. Little did I know it would be with a lady that I overheard singing whilst in my local launderette." So here is "United Provinces of India," the debut track from an already hotly tipped album that comes out after the New Year, then the festivities begin.
