Moving Update From Rush's Geddy Lee

(Gibson) With Rush's Time Machine Tour leaving Brazil and preparing to invade Chile this week, Geddy Lee took time to do an interview with Brazil's TV UOL. Among the topics he discussed was their new studio album.

"The new album is still in production," Lee said. "We've recorded two songs so far, one of them called 'Caravan' and the other one called 'Brought Up To Believe' ['BU2B']. That's the beginning two songs of a whole kind of a concept album called Clockwork Angels. We have about four other songs... five songs written, but not recorded yet. And we still have a couple more songs that we want to write and then put the whole thing together. So, I don't think the album will be ready for about a year."

Lee also looked back on the tour thus far, which has featured complete performances of the band's classic Moving Pictures album. "You know, having played Moving Pictures in its entirety on this whole tour, I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying it, number one. Even songs like 'The Camera Eye,' that I really didn't think would pass the test of time, have actually come out sounding very fresh. I think that album, particularly, has endured very well. I think it's aging gracefully." - more on this story
