Anita Baker To Receive Legend Award

Baker is set to make fans of her romantic style excited with the forthcoming 21st Century Love, the artist's seventh studio album, which will be released on EMI's Blue Note Records in 2011. The album will feature the same classic baby making music that Baker is known for, but with a modern twist.

Over the past few years, many artists, including Kanye West, Lil Wayne and others have brought Anita's music and artistry to our current generation, allowing them to discover the beauty of her voice and creativity. Whether mentioning her name and/or songs in lyrics or sampling one of her classic hits, as rap phenom Drake did earlier this year, it is clear that Anita has made an impression on other artists. It is with this spirit that the album title, 21st Century Love, came about and what also inspired her to invite guests Snoop Dogg and Tyrese to be a part of the project.
