Here is the recap: Last year Stone Temple Pilots/ex-Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland surprised fans by releasing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" as a single (see story here). Now he apparently wants to do a full Christmas album. Pantera issued an explanation of the new song which was posted this week on Facebook: Lots of you seem to be confused about 'The Will to Survive'. Just to clarify, this is a demo track from the Cowboys From Hell demos. It was recorded in 1989 and was not included on the original release of Cowboys From Hell. It is going to be included on the 20th Anniversary 3 CD deluxe set (in stores September 14th) as well as the Ultimate box set (in stores November 22nd). And yes, that is Philip singing..
