(Gibson) Larry Mullen Jr., the drummer in U2, will make his acting debut in a new crime film. Man on the Train features Mullen starring alongside acting legend Donald Sutherland, according to the BBC.

The percussionist plays a mysterious man who comes to a small town to rob a bank in the movie, an Irish-Canadian project based on a 2002 French film. In the original, Mullen's role was played by French rocker Johnny Hallyday.

Mullen also co-produced the film and composed its score. Man on the Train will be screened next month at the Cannes Film Festival. more on this story
