Amy Winehouse's Father Wants More Rehab For Young People

(Gibson) Amy Winehouse's father, Mitch, met with the British government yesterday to work on improving drug rehabilitation for the country's young people in memory of his daughter. According to the Daily Express. Mr. Winehouse said: "This isn't only important to me, this is important to our whole country."

The last specialist NHS rehabilitation center for young people closed last year and Mitch Winehouse asked crime minister James Brokenshire and Keith Vaz, chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee, to look at a "reallocation of resources."

He said: "There's hundreds of thousands of young people in situations today that could be avoided, and these are our future policemen, doctors and lawyers and solicitors that we could help. We need to be able to help our children." more on this story
