U2's Bono Shoots Down Health Scare Reports

(Rock News Desk) U2 have denied reports that singer Bono was taken to hospital complaining of heart palpitations last week and say his visit to doctors during a holiday was just routine.

It's been said the 51-year-old spent a number of hours at the Princess Grace Memorial Hospital in Monaco, although he didn't stay overnight, and experts ordered him to rest. But a band spokeswoman says there's nothing to worry about. "Despite press stories to the contrary, Bono has not suffered a health scare.

"Reports of his being rushed to hospital for emergency treatment are untrue. He is in good health and enjoying a family holiday in the south of France." more on this story
