. He was severely beaten and left for dead in June last year after he went to the aid of a woman who was being attacked by her husband. He spent the following months in hospital and required the temporary removal of part of his skull during a series of emergency operations. After months more rehabilitation Leone has put much of the ordeal behind him � but knows he'll carry mental and emotional scars for ever.
