Doctor Orders Jane's Addiction To Cancel Appearances
. The NME reports the band had been set to headline the NME/Radio 1 Stage at Reading, but cancelled at the last minute, citing the severe swelling of Farrell's vocal chords as the reason for the drop-out. At Reading, Jane's guitarist Dave Navarro announced the band's cancellation from the stage. In a statement issued Sunday, the band said, "This morning in London, his doctor determined that Perry Farrell's vocal condition remains unchanged from last night. Farrell has been ordered to not use his voice until further notice for risk of vocal damage.
