. As the album's title implies, the songs on the disc were crafted from notes found in a leather briefcase that had belonged to Williams, following the country star's death. Song ideas and lyrics found in the briefcase have been fleshed out by the 13 artists featured on the new album. As reported by Rolling Stone, the album was originally conceived as a Dylan solo project, but later evolved into a multi-artist tribute.
