(hennemusic) Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott took the stage Sunday night in Birmingham to help a friend and fellow bandmate.

The Birmingham Mail reports the event was a benefit show to raise money for the man described as Def Leppard's "sixth member."

Elliott took part in Doin' The Decent Thing at the Roadhouse in Stirchley a fundraiser for Dick Decent, from Dudley, who has toured with Def Leppard as their keyboard player. The 51-year-old, who runs the Decent Pie Studios in Dudley, was struck down with fluoroquinolone toxicity two years ago, which is a little-known illness caused by poisoning after taking antibiotics.
