Katy Perry Sets New Record was the No 6 pop story of 2011. Here it is: Katy Perry has set a VMA record, becoming the first artist in MTV history to be nominated for four separate videos in one year.

Katy's nominations include "Video of the Year" and "Best Female Video," for her No. 1 smash "Firework," "Best Pop Video" for "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," and "Best Collaboration" for her No. 1 single "E.T." featuring Kanye West.

Katy has been nominated for the following awards: Video of the Year and Best Female Video for "Firework," Best Pop Video for "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," Best Cinematography for "Teenage Dream," and Best Collaboration, Best Art Direction, Best Direction, Best Editing, and Best Special Effects for "E.T."
