(TMZ) Boxer Victor Ortiz thinks it's "a cool rumor" -- him dating Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa -- the only problem is ... it's just not true.

Ortiz refuted the rumors with two claims -- one makes sense, the other ... not so much.
