DevilDriver Star Rushed To Hospital For Seizure (No 8 Attacks and Injuries of 11)

. Mike Spreitzer seizure in August landed the No 8 spot in our countdown of the top Attacks and Injuries story of 11. Here it is: (Rock News Desk) DevilDriver guitarist Mike Spreitzer was rushed to hospital yesterday after suffering a seizure, and will miss the band's upcoming South American tour while he recuperates.

It's the second injury to hit the band recently, after current bassist Aaron Patrick was nearly forced to sit out some Canadian festival appearances due to a back problem.

But the band intend to play the tour as a four-piece, with Jeff Kendrick working as their single guitarist. "Mike had a seizure, and woke up in the emergency room. He's doing okay," Dez Fafara said. "He has now been released, but unfortunately he will not be joining the band on the tour, as doctors have ordered him not to." more on this story
